I decided to start a new blog! This is for several reasons - primarily, I've been thinking about quite how much information is available about me on the internet. A quick search around google and anyone who knew my name could connect me with my blog.
This isn't such a big deal, but as I'm starting to prepare for my application to clinical psychology training courses, I've started wondering what I would do if a client found me on the net. If someone flicked around google for long enough, they would discover who I am and what I think about politics, religion and whole manner of juicy gossip. So I've decided, the only sensible thing to do, if I am to maintain my blog and not worry about some internet geek client finding me on the web - is to go anonymous.So, for those of you who know who I am, please be careful not to give too much away!
Another reason is that I rather fancied having a new look, so thought I'd combine anonymising my blog with a bit of a make-over.
So here is my new blog. Hope y'all like it.

Hey, thanks for the heads-up about the blog change, and especially for the explanation. It's a good reminder that fellow bloggers be sensitive to how we refer to one another in our own blogs.

Just curious - would you ever be concerned if one of your patients' came across your blog and hence where aware of your religious/political/personal perspectives and situations?
I'd like to hear if you have an alternative perspective on this :)
ah now this took me until yesterday to figure out! shall have to move quicker in future!
no, i wouldn't be worried at all. i can always block IP addresses and Spem. They all know where I work. I'm likewise not too bothered about people turning up at church - if they are difficult, i will tell them honestly that they are being difficult. we also have security at the church i go to, so there is always the ultimate sanction of them being banned, but i wouldn't like it ti get that far.
i am keen to keep some separation and never give out my home address nor would I try to 'befriend' clients if we did need at church or on the blog. i would hope that there would be others who would do that.
Interesting.
