We're moving....

To High Wycombe.

I got an NHS Assistant Psychologist post in a Learning Disabilities Team.

Woooo...kind off. We've got to leave our wee flat...*sniff*...and our friends *wails*.

That's great! I'm so happy for you. What will partner-dude do for work?

How exciting!! Where in the heck is High Wycombe? Anywhere near Southampton? London?

Near London Rob - about 20 minutes by train from Marylebone station - so you have no excuses not to visit!!!

Partner dude is able to work from home on his PhD and go up to Southampton once a week or once a fortnight to meet with his supervisor. I'm a bit worried about the effect on his PhD but he's convinced it will be ok.

My goodness, I can't believe I actually have a real job!

Abby - what stage of your training are you at? Just finished everything? I think the UK system is quite different from the American one!

Three cheers on the job! (and for surviving the agonising sounding decision from the previous post)

Where will be the nearest Quaker meeting to High Wycombe? Don't tell me you haven't checked yet... ;-)

Thanks Robert :)

I believe there is a Quaker meeting in High Wycombe itself - but we don't know exactly where we will be living as yet.

Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

I'll probably be making contact with the Quakers once I've formally accepted the post (going to do that tomorrow - I've arranged to go and meet the team).

Then I'll be asking them for advice and if anyone knows any nice landlords with 2 bed properties to let!

You better come back to the UK soon then Peterson. We're only planning on being there for 9 months if luck comes our way! :D

Then who knows - the Kentish countryside, the Welsh valleys, the West Country or Cambridgeshire here we come ;)
